Scattered Stars-Hunter Star Block
The Hunter Star is a stunning 8 point star created from four units. You can choose from 6in, 7in, or 8in units that create 12in, 14in and 16in finished blocks and all can be made with one tool. The Hunter Star Trim Tool from Creative Grids will make creating these wonderful blocks easy and stress free. Using simple squares and rectangles, and the trimming lines on the tool, you will have Hunter's Star blocks made in no time at all. This particular pattern is jelly roll friendly using 2 1/2" strips of color/print for the star points and a single background with two border fabrics. It is a good starter project to become familiar with the process of making the units. It constructs 8in units that create 16in blocks. Master it and the fabric options are endless on future projects. The quilt size is 60x76.

| Instructor Bio: | I learned to garment sew in high school. Around 2005, a friend talked me into taking a block of the month class. As I finished that first quilt, another friend said come see my new machine, a long arm, and I was totally hooked on piecing and the long arm process. My husband and I have lived in Walla Walla since 2017. Retirement has allowed me to really stretch my quilting skills. I enjoy using Creative Grids rulers for trimming and piecing and the Sew Kind of Wonderful rulers for curved piecing. It has allowed me to become more accurate quilter. I love to share what I have learned with others. |
