This class is all about removing the overwhelm and helping you build muscle memory, confidence, and a solid foundation. No fancy techniques — just the skills you need to enjoy your longarm and quilt with confidence.

This class includes classroom lecture, live machine demonstrations, and guided hands-on time on Handi Quilter longarm machines.

| Instructor Bio: | Hi, I’m Tara Redberg, owner of Walla Walla Sew & Vac and a passionate educator who loves helping people feel confident with their machines. I’ve been in the sewing and quilting industry for over a decade, and one of my greatest joys is watching quilters go from feeling overwhelmed to excited and empowered. Whether it’s a first-time longarm experience or a refresher on the basics, I believe learning should feel encouraging, approachable, and fun. At Walla Walla Sew & Vac, my focus is on education, community, and hands-on experience. I love teaching foundational classes that break things down into simple, easy-to-understand steps — especially the things we all tend to forget or were never shown in the first place. My goal is always to build confidence, not pressure, so students can truly enjoy their quilting journey. When I’m not in the classroom or working with customers, I love traveling, camping, and being with my amazing family and friends. I’m grateful every day to do what I love and to share that passion with others. |
