Quilting 101 with Terri

This class will be a beginner quilting course covering all of the fundamental practices, terms, tools, and techniques, with only minimal experience in using a sewing machine needed. Subjects will include following a pattern, using a rotary cutter and ruler, and maintaining a 1/4" seam allowance, among others.

The class will follow a pattern found in the book Make Your First Quilt with Alex Anderson. It will demonstrate some fundamental tools such as the Creative Grids 6.5"x24.5" Ruler, and help you understand why they are necessary and how they are best put to use. The class comes with a 15% discount on any fabric or notions purchased through the class, but we recommend coming to the first class to get an idea of what will work best for you.
